The Rocky Mountains are truly majestic. One just needs to look from any of the many mountain tops to appreciate timeless presence. Apart from the knowledge that this ancient mountain chain has formed over millions of years, one can almost feel the slow movement of the rocks.

I took this shot on top of Mount Sulphur in Banff, Alberta. The cracked and textured rocks seemed to be asleep for millennia, and the overcast sky with slow moving, grey clouds added a dramatic feel to the scene. Every time I see this picture I am reminded that we are on this earth for only a very short time.
